Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • experience as a receptionist or in general clerical work
  • ability to type at least 40 words per minute
  • proficiency with computer and word processing software
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work flexible hours within the 8:30 am to 4:30 pm range
  • successful completion of pre-employment drug screen
  • passing a criminal background investigation

Job Qualifications

  • experience as a receptionist or in general clerical work
  • ability to type at least 40 words per minute
  • proficiency with computer and word processing software
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • experience working with senior citizens is preferred
  • ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • passing pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check

Job Duties

  • answering phone calls and greeting visitors at the Senior Friendship Center
  • managing monetary transactions for lunches, tours, and events
  • maintaining accurate financial and attendance records
  • preparing reports and other documents as needed
  • organizing and maintaining files and office records
  • responding to customer inquiries in person and via phone
  • assisting with social media and newsletter content creation
