Job Requirements

Ability to walk, stand, and patrol the facility for long periods
must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds if necessary
ability to sit or stand for extended periods as required during shifts

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required
previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a similar role is preferred
strong attention to detail and excellent observational skills
ability to stay calm and respond effectively in emergencies
good communication skills and the ability to interact respectfully with residents, families, and staff
ability to work independently with minimal supervision
must pass a background check and drug screening

Job Duties

Monitor and patrol the premises to ensure the safety of all residents, staff, and visitors
respond promptly to emergencies, incidents, and alarms, and take appropriate action as needed
ensure all doors and windows are securely locked and properly functioning
maintain a visible presence to deter potential security breaches and ensure a sense of safety
report any suspicious activity, security concerns, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel
assist in emergency evacuations if required
monitor security cameras and other surveillance equipment
maintain accurate logs of activities, incidents, and visitor entries during the shift
provide assistance to residents and staff as needed, including ensuring compliance with community rules and regulations
work collaboratively with other team members to support the overall security of the facility
