Job Requirements

  • One year of reception experience in healthcare setting preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
  • Ability to demonstrate general computer skills
  • Effective organizational and time management skills required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work closely with others professionally

Job Duties

  • Provide hospital telecommunication services via telephones, pagers, and radios
  • Connect communication between visitors, callers, staff, patients, and families
  • Maintain records related to telecommunications such as long distance calls and pages
  • Demonstrate effective organizational and time management skills
  • Uphold quality and safety standards
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Work closely and professionally with hospital staff and visitors
