Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of reception experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Must demonstrate general computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and record management
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to adhere to quality and safety standards
  • Ability to work well with others

Job Qualifications

  • One year of reception experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrates general computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and record management
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain quality and safety standards
  • Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality
  • Ability to work closely and professionally with others

Job Duties

  • Provide hospital telecommunication services through telephones, pagers, paging system, radio, or computer
  • Connect communication between visitors, callers, staff, patients, and patients' families
  • Maintain records related to telecommunications, such as long distance phone calls and on-call employees
  • Integrate the hospital's mission and guiding principles into daily practice
  • Assist with general administrative tasks as needed
  • Maintain quality and safety standards in communication processes
  • Work closely and professionally with hospital team members
