Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of reception experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Ability to demonstrate effective organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in general computer skills including data entry and word processing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work professionally with a diverse team
- Willingness to work on a per diem basis
Job Qualifications
- One year of reception experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- or any equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrates general computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and record management
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain quality and safety standards
- Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality
- Ability to work closely and professionally with others
Job Duties
- Provide hospital telecommunication services through telephones, pagers, paging system, radio, and computer
- Connect communication between visitors, callers, staff, patients, and patients' families
- Maintain records related to telecommunications such as long distance phone calls, on-call employees, and pages
- Integrate the hospital's mission and guiding principles into daily practice
- Manage calls and messages with professionalism and confidentiality
- Coordinate communication efficiently to support patient care
- Handle incoming inquiries and direct them appropriately
