Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of reception experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Ability to demonstrate effective organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in general computer skills including data entry and word processing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work professionally with a diverse team
  • Willingness to work on a per diem basis

Job Qualifications

  • One year of reception experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • or any equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrates general computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and record management
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain quality and safety standards
  • Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality
  • Ability to work closely and professionally with others

Job Duties

  • Provide hospital telecommunication services through telephones, pagers, paging system, radio, and computer
  • Connect communication between visitors, callers, staff, patients, and patients' families
  • Maintain records related to telecommunications such as long distance phone calls, on-call employees, and pages
  • Integrate the hospital's mission and guiding principles into daily practice
  • Manage calls and messages with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Coordinate communication efficiently to support patient care
  • Handle incoming inquiries and direct them appropriately
