Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
 - Previous experience in medical or public office settings preferred
 - Ability to operate computer systems and software for data entry
 - Excellent communication skills
 - Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain a flexible schedule
 - Strong attention to detail
 - Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
 - Capability to work extended and/or weekend hours as needed
 
Job Qualifications
- Post high school education preferred
 - Previous public or medical office experience preferred
 - Strong clerical and organizational skills
 - Proficiency with computer systems and data entry
 - Ability to handle sensitive patient information confidentially
 - Good communication and interpersonal skills
 - Ability to work under stress and maintain professionalism
 
Job Duties
- Greets patients and prepares necessary forms for completion
 - Enters and updates patient and insurance data into computer systems
 - Schedules patient appointments and manages changes
 - Collects patient payments including copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and outstanding balances
 - Processes payments and issues receipts
 - Compiles Daily Journal and prepares deposits
 - Answers telephones and records messages for medical staff
 - Maintains physician schedules
 - Orders office supplies and maintains a clean work environment
 - Performs various clerical duties such as photocopying, typing, mailing, and faxing
 - Maintains confidentiality and professionalism at all times
