Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • one year of reception experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • basic computer proficiency including data entry and word processing
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • effective organizational skills
  • ability to work in a team environment
  • willingness to perform per diem work shifts

Job Qualifications

  • one year of reception experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • or any equivalent combination of education and experience
  • demonstrate general computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and record management
  • possess effective organizational and time management skills
  • have effective written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to maintain quality and safety standards
  • ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality
  • ability to work closely and professionally with others

Job Duties

  • provide hospital telecommunication services through telephones, pagers, paging system, radio, or computer to connect communication between visitors, callers, staff, patients, and patients' families
  • maintain records related to telecommunications such as long distance phone calls, on-call employees, and pages
  • integrate hospital's mission and guiding principles into daily practice
  • manage multi-line phone system efficiently
  • greet and direct visitors professionally
  • schedule appointments and maintain patient reception area
  • assist with administrative tasks as needed
