Job Description

Rehabilitation Hospital of Northern Indiana, located in Mishawaka near the South Bend area, is a state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation facility dedicated to helping patients regain their independence and quality of life following significant injuries or illnesses. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
One year of reception experience in a healthcare setting preferred
Proficiency in using telecommunication devices and computer systems
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to work part-time evening shifts
Ability to adhere to hospital policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

One year of reception experience in a healthcare setting preferred
General computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and record management
Effective organizational and time management skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain quality and safety standards
Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality
Ability to work closely and professionally with others

Job Duties

Provide telecommunication services using telephones, pagers, and paging system
Connect communication between visitors, callers, staff, patients, and patients' families
Maintain telecommunication records such as long distance calls, on-call employees, and pages
Integrate hospital's mission and guiding principles into daily practice
Operate radio and computer systems to facilitate communication
Support hospital staff by managing timely and accurate information flow
Assist visitors and callers with professionalism and courtesy
