The City REC Center, part of the City Parks, Recreation & Civic Facilities Department, operates as a community-driven facility dedicated to providing residents and visitors with diverse recreational activities, fitness options, and spaces for gatherings and events. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one or more years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- ability to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED training certification from recognized organization
- proficiency in telephone etiquette and record keeping
- knowledge of computer software and office equipment
- ability to perform cashiering duties
- excellent communication skills
- ability to provide customer service
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- pass drug screening and criminal background check
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one or more years of experience in customer service or administrative support
- knowledge of telephone etiquette and detailed record keeping
- proficiency with computer software and office equipment
- knowledge of money handling and accounting procedures
- ability to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification
- excellent oral and written communication skills
- ability to learn new software programs
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- valid driver's license preferred
Job Duties
- Greets REC Center patrons and guests and provides exceptional customer service
- answers and handles incoming calls and interacts with the public
- verifies membership and provides entry to fitness area
- issues one-day passes and performs cashiering duties for fitness area entrance
- performs general clerical duties for the REC Center
- assists in the concession areas when necessary
- assists with daily reports and deposits
- assists REC Center Supervisor with scheduling facility rentals and events
- tracks memberships, fitness classes and walking track patrons
