Job Requirements

  • One year of reception experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrate general computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and record management
  • Effective organizational and time management abilities
  • Possess effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Maintain quality and safety standards
  • Uphold confidentiality
  • Work collaboratively and professionally with others

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Provide hospital telecommunication services via telephones, pagers, paging systems, radio, or computer
  • Connect communication between visitors, callers, staff, patients, and patients' families
  • Maintain records related to telecommunications such as long distance calls, on-call employees, and pages
  • Integrate the hospital's mission and guiding principles into daily practice
  • Ensure efficient handling of incoming and outgoing calls
  • Respond to requests for information and direct calls appropriately
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all communications
