- High school diploma or equivalent
- successful completion of a criminal background check and fingerprinting
- ability to pass pre-employment drug testing
- good legal standing
- adherence to the Code of Ethics for the legal profession
- ability to meet security access requirements

- ability to maintain professional boundaries in a justice-centered environment
- ability to work onsite primarily in an office environment

Job Qualifications

- experience as a receptionist preferred
- knowledge of modern office equipment and general office practices
- knowledge of English spelling and grammar
- knowledge of clerical account-keeping practices
- skill in communicating with diverse populations
- skill in operating computer terminals and personal computers
- proficiency in typing
- ability to operate a multi-line telephone console with a high call volume
- ability to learn the mission and function of the Victim Center
- ability to work with individuals under stress
- ability to maintain harmonious working relationships
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- ability to interpret rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- ability to prioritize tasks and be flexible
- ability to handle and account for money
Job Duties
- Greet guests, visitors, and callers
- operate a central telephone console to receive and route calls
- receive, record, and transmit telephone messages
- provide Victim Center-related information and direct individuals to appropriate offices or staff members
- assist with completion of intake forms
- assist in paperwork and mail distribution
- perform data entry
- monitor and escort visitors per security requirements
- resolve inquiries in person, by telephone, electronically, and via correspondence
- draft basic written communications
