Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • previous administrative or receptionist experience preferred
  • basic knowledge of Microsoft Suite products
  • familiarity with clerical functions
  • ability to operate a multiline phone system
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • capacity to maintain confidentiality
  • ability to handle occasional physical demands such as lifting up to 25 pounds
  • ability to work in a low to moderate noise office environment
  • no clinical duties required
  • no supervisory responsibilities

Job Qualifications

  • must possess a high school diploma or GED
  • previous administrative or receptionist experience preferred
  • ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals and professional journals
  • ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
  • ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions and percentages
  • ability to solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables
  • ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • knowledge of Microsoft Suite products, clerical functions and multiline phone systems

Job Duties

  • provide general administrative and clerical support
  • greet and welcome patients, clients, and other visitors with a friendly and positive demeanor
  • answer telephone calls and take messages or forward calls
  • check visitors in and direct or escort them to specific destinations
  • inform other employees of visitors' arrivals and cancellations
  • maintain visitor sign-in log
  • handle incoming and outgoing mail
  • schedule appointments and maintain meeting room bookings
  • maintain and tidy the reception area
  • perform other duties as assigned
  • agree not to disclose resident's protected health information and promptly report suspected or known violations
  • maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information
