Job Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent
- three years receptionist experience including two years database experience
- excellent telephone skills and ability to stay calm in stressful situations
- working proficiency with MS Office products
- knowledge of Parish Data Systems a plus
- solid organization skills and ability to work independently
- appreciation and respect for the Catholic Church and its teachings
- conduct consistent with and supportive of the Church's mission and purpose
- public behavior aligned with faith, morals, laws of the Church and diocesan policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum three years receptionist experience including two years database experience
- excellent telephone and communication skills
- working proficiency with MS Office suite
- familiarity with Parish Data Systems is an advantage
- strong organizational skills
- ability to work independently
- respect and appreciation for Catholic Church teachings
- ability to maintain professional conduct consistent with church mission and policies
Job Duties
- Greet and welcome visitors and callers warmly and professionally
- notify parish staff of visitor arrivals promptly
- manage the telephone system and direct calls appropriately
- maintain Mass Intentions and facilities scheduler accurately
- receive, sort, and distribute mail and packages
- apply postage and prepare outgoing mail
- process financial transactions and issue written receipts
- handle sick call intakes for priests
- check and communicate mail, email, and messages in a timely manner
- maintain the reception area, mail room, and supply closet orderly
- relate well with pastoral staff, church leaders, parishioners, and visitors
- maintain confidentiality of all sensitive information
- contribute to team efforts and assist with special projects
- perform other duties as assigned
