Job Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Three years receptionist experience including two years database experience
  • Excellent telephone skills and ability to stay calm in stressful situations
  • Working proficiency with MS Office products
  • Knowledge of Parish Data Systems is a plus
  • Solid organization skills and ability to work independently
  • Appreciation and respect for the Catholic Church and its teachings
  • Conduct consistent with the mission and purpose of the Church
  • Public behavior aligning with church faith, morals, laws, and diocesan policies

Job Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Minimum three years receptionist experience including two years database experience
  • Excellent telephone and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with parish data systems is a plus
  • Strong organizational and independent work skills
  • Respect for the Catholic Church and its teachings
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of people

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome visitors warmly
  • Answer and direct phone calls courteously
  • Maintain and organize the front desk, mail room, and supply areas
  • Manage Mass Intentions using the facilities scheduler
  • Receive and distribute mail and packages, notifying recipients
  • Process financial transactions and provide receipts
  • Handle sick calls for priests and manage prayer requests
  • Record new members and update parishioner information
  • Maintain confidentiality in all areas
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
