Job Requirements
- high school degree or equivalent
- three years receptionist experience including two years database experience
- excellent telephone skills and ability to stay calm in stressful situations
- working proficiency with MS Office products
- knowledge of Parish Data Systems a plus
- solid organization skills and ability to work independently
- requires an appreciation and respect for the Catholic Church and its teachings
- church employees must conduct themselves in a manner consistent with and supportive of the mission and purpose of the Church
- public behavior must not violate the faith, morals, laws of the Church or policies of the diocese

Job Duties
- greet and welcome visitors and callers as the first point of contact
- notify parish staff of visitors arrival
- maintain the telephone system and respond to inquiries
- perform routine administrative and office support services
- maintain Mass Intentions using facilities scheduler
- receive and distribute mail and packages
- apply postage to outgoing mail
- process financial transactions and provide receipts
- intake and process sick calls for priests
- check and communicate mail, email, phone messages, and prayer requests
- record new members and process welcome letters
- maintain reception area, mail room, and supply closet orderly
- relate well with pastoral staff, church leaders, parishioners, and office visitors
- maintain confidentiality in all areas of responsibility
- contribute to team effort by accomplishing results
- complete special projects and other duties as assigned
