Job Requirements

  • high school graduate or equivalent
  • previous training in medical office skills preferred
  • basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • one to two years of relevant experience in ambulatory care or similar environment preferred
  • good communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to operate computers and office equipment
  • availability to work part-time day shifts

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous training in general medical office skills and procedures preferred
  • proficiency and knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • one to two years of experience in an ambulatory care or medical office setting preferred
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • familiarity with medical billing and scheduling software is a plus

Job Duties

  • perform clerical tasks in an ambulatory care setting
  • manage reception duties including patient greeting and telephone communications
  • schedule patient appointments and coordinate primary health care services
  • handle patient financial account functions such as billing, cashiering, and account posting
  • maintain and organize patient records and medical documentation
  • provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors
  • utilize medical office equipment and technology to support daily operations
