Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • previous training in medical office procedures preferred
  • knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • one to two years experience in ambulatory care or medical office setting preferred
  • ability to perform clerical and reception tasks
  • proficiency with computer and telephone operations
  • good communication skills

  • previous training in general medical office skills preferred
  • knowledge of medical terminology preferred but not required
  • one to two years experience in ambulatory care or related office roles preferred
  • strong organizational and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Perform clerical duties in an ambulatory care setting
  • manage reception and scheduling tasks
  • assist with patient financial account functions
  • coordinate primary health care services for outpatient clients
  • maintain accurate records and handle billing and account posting
  • process telephone and computer operations as needed
  • provide general office support and filing
