Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Completed a secretarial science program or have six months clerical experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
- Knowledge of post-acute care facility laws, regulations, and practices
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Ability to implement and interpret departmental programs and policies
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with company policies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform physical activities such as sitting, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, walking, reaching, and moving intermittently during working hours
- Must read, write, speak, and understand English
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Successfully completed a secretarial science program from an accredited college or university or have a minimum of six months experience in a clerical role
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
- Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post-acute care facility
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
- Ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
- Demonstrated professionalism in maintaining confidential information and compliance with company policies
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Job Duties
- Serve as the first point of contact for guests and visitors in person as well as via phone in a friendly and professional manner
- Effectively operate the facility phone and paging system
- Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
- Assist in the evacuation of patients
- Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance
- Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment
- Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
