Job Requirements

- at least one year of relevant experience
- ability to handle phone systems and paging equipment

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum one year of experience in similar position
- computer experience preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to remain tactful and professional under pressure
- aptitude for handling emergency situations calmly
- detail-oriented with good organizational skills
- ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Transfers incoming calls to appropriate locations
- assists with placement of outgoing calls
- pages staff overhead and through pagers
- handles resident information inquiries and provides assistance to callers and visitors professionally
- monitors lobby for resident and guest safety
- greets visitors, guests, new residents and transporters and directs them to appropriate units
- accepts and logs payments for room and board, visitor meals, and special activities fees
- assists potential new customers with pre-tour paperwork and works with Admissions to provide facility brochures
- greets and directs transportation services and new residents upon arrival
- assists outside vendors with deliveries of O2, UPS, and other vendor deliveries
- responds to emergency situations and notifies management personnel appropriately
- notifies nursing station when a wandering patient attempts to leave or needs significant assistance
- carries out opening and closing duties as required by shift
- distributes incoming and resident mail in a timely manner
- maintains workroom and lobby in an orderly manner and monitors office equipment functionality
- processes daily census during day shifts
- performs clerical duties assigned by Administrator and assists other departments with projects such as copying, monthly invoices, and marketing materials
