Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six months telephone or receptionist work experience
  • Computer skills for information retrieval
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Must provide proof of educational attainment at hire
  • Successful background check including criminal, credit, motor vehicle, employment, and educational records
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as sitting, standing, reaching, lifting, stooping, pushing, and pulling

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six months telephone/receptionist work experience
  • Computer skills for information retrieval
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Answer incoming calls
  • Register all visitors entering the building and give directions to appropriate locations/offices
  • Create new case files
  • Translate (English-Spanish) over the telephone for security personnel or professional staff
  • Access information using the Juvenile Case Management System (JCMS)
  • Identify problems among visitors in the lobby and notify security if necessary
  • Monitor telephone system for malfunctions
  • Relay written messages accurately
  • Maintain updates of staff changes in the Akkadian Console Database
  • Maintain logs of packages received and lost and found items
  • Provide notary services (English/Spanish) as needed
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned
