Job Description
Exalt Health is a specialized acute rehabilitation hospital dedicated to providing intensive rehabilitation programs for patients with complex medical needs. The hospital focuses on individuals who can tolerate three hours of intensive rehabilitation services daily. These patients often face challenges related to stroke, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, head trauma, medically debilitating conditions, neurological disorders, cardio-pulmonary issues, amputations, orthopedic injuries, and multiple major traumas. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role preferred
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- strong organizational and time management skills
- proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- ability to work independently and as part of a team

- excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- analytical and problem-solving abilities

Job Duties
- Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and staff in a warm and professional manner
- answer and direct incoming calls efficiently and courteously
- provide accurate information about the hospital and its services
- assist patients with registration and check-in procedures
- maintain a clean and organized reception area
- manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
- schedule appointments and maintain calendars
- perform other administrative duties as assigned
- support the Admissions Department by coordinating with patients, families, referral sources, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure a seamless transition into care
- field initial inquiries from patients, families, and referral sources
- conduct pre-screenings to assess patient appropriateness for inpatient rehabilitation
- gather patient information, complete necessary forms, and initiate the admission process
- verify patient insurance coverage and benefits for inpatient rehabilitation services
- obtain pre-authorizations and resolve coverage issues with insurance companies
