Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Ability to understand guests' needs and respond proactively and professionally
  • Basic computer, typing, and fax machine skills
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and good English diction
  • Ability to recognize and find names and telephone/room numbers of patients, personnel, and physicians
  • Ability to multitask and perform various responsibilities in an interactive environment
  • Dependable and adaptable to varying work environments

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Basic computer, typing, and fax machine knowledge
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills in English
  • Ability to recognize and locate names and phone/room numbers of patients and staff
  • Customer service management experience preferred
  • Prior customer service experience preferred
  • Bilingual skills in languages such as Spanish, Portuguese, Creole, Vietnamese, French, German, Russian, Arabic, or Korean preferred
  • Positive attitude and interpersonal/customer service qualities

Job Duties

  • Provide high level of service and satisfaction to patients and guests
  • Answer phone calls using excellent telephone etiquette
  • Respond to requests courteously, professionally, and efficiently
  • Promote a caring work environment by supporting co-workers in a team setting
  • Use computer skills to assist guests, patients, and healthcare team with information
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hospital facilities and phone numbers
  • Interact with children patients and family members in an age-appropriate manner
