Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- at least six months experience in payroll, insurance and/or clerical position
- proof of COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption required by date of hire
- ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- strong typing skills with high accuracy
- ability to manage multitasking and repetitive tasks
- effective communication and interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in payroll, insurance and/or clerical position preferred
- courses in payroll, bookkeeping, office procedures or related subjects preferred
- strong typing skills with at least 50 words per minute and high accuracy
- ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- effective communication skills
- ability to manage multiple tasks and repetitive work
- knowledge of office machinery and computer systems
- ability to interact professionally with residents, families, visitors, and staff
Job Duties
- Answers incoming telephone calls and directs to appropriate person or department
- maintains confidentiality of all pertinent personnel information in accordance with the Privacy Act and established personnel policies
- types documents, reports, letters at least 50 words per minute with high accuracy
- remains at repetitious tasks for long periods of time while completing paperwork
- recognizes, responds to and/or reports resident emergency situations immediately
- maintains strict confidentiality on all facility data
- communicates with and supports residents, families, visitors
- maintains privacy of records, conditions and other information relating to residents, employees and facility
- performs assigned tasks in accordance with policies and procedures, and as instructed by the Administrator
- notifies supervisor of pending absence or tardiness within required time frame
- operates copier, office machines, computer, etc.
- prepares and mails statements in accordance with established billing procedures
- assists in preparing time cards and distributing payroll checks
- maintains current files and listings of residents, emergency phone numbers of on-call personnel, key personnel
- greets visitors, guests, residents, sales staff and others, monitoring or reporting suspicious persons or situations to Administrator
- receives, sorts and distributes mail
- refers difficult and conflicting interactions or situations to Administrator or appropriate department head
- conducts annual salary and wage surveys and reports findings to Administrator
- assists in reporting complaints and grievances from residents, families, visitors and partners
- assists with completing forms, reports not considered essential functions
- assists with supply inventory
