Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- at least six months experience in payroll, insurance or clerical position
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- preferred two years of experience in payroll, insurance or clerical position
- courses in payroll, bookkeeping, office procedures and related subjects
Job Duties
- answers incoming telephone calls and direct to appropriate person or department
- maintains confidentiality of all pertinent personnel information in accordance with the Privacy Act and company policies
- types documents, reports, letters at least 50 words per minute with high accuracy
- remains at repetitious tasks for long periods while completing paperwork
- recognizes, responds to and/or reports resident emergency situations immediately
- maintains strict confidentiality on all facility data
- communicates with and supports residents, families, visitors
- maintains privacy of records, conditions and other information relating to residents, employees and facility
- performs assigned tasks according to policies and as instructed by the Administrator
- notifies supervisor of pending absence or tardiness as per personnel handbook
- operates copier, office machines, computer as directed
- prepares and mails statements according to billing procedures
- assists in preparing time cards and distributing payroll checks
- maintains current file and listing of residents, emergency phone numbers and key personnel
- greets visitors, guests, residents, salespeople and monitors or reports suspicious persons or situations
- receives, sorts and distributes mail
- refers difficult and conflicting interactions to Administrator or department head
- conducts annual salary and wage surveys and reports findings
- assists in reporting complaints and grievances
- assists with completing non-essential forms and reports
- assists with supply inventory
