Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least six months experience in payroll, insurance, or clerical position
- Ability to type at least 50 words per minute with high accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate office machines and computer systems
- Reliable and punctual with notice of absence or tardiness according to policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least six months experience in payroll, insurance, or clerical position
- Prefer two years of experience in payroll, insurance, or clerical position
- Completion of courses in payroll, bookkeeping, office procedures, or related subjects
Job Duties
- Answer incoming telephone calls and direct to appropriate person or department
- Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent personnel information according to Privacy Act and policies
- Type documents, reports, letters at a minimum of 50 words per minute with high accuracy
- Remain attentive during repetitive tasks and completing paperwork
- Recognize and respond to or report resident emergency situations immediately
- Maintain strict confidentiality on all facility data
- Communicate with and support residents, families, visitors
- Maintain privacy of records, conditions, and other related information
- Perform assigned tasks according to policies and administrator instructions
- Notify supervisor of absences or tardiness as per personnel handbook
- Operate copier, office machines, computer as directed
- Prepare and mail statements in line with billing procedures
- Assist in preparing time cards and distributing payroll checks
- Maintain current files and listings of residents, emergency contacts, key personnel
- Greet visitors, guests, residents, salespeople, monitor or report suspicious persons or situations
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail as directed
- Refer difficult or conflicting interactions to administrator or appropriate department head
- Conduct annual salary and wage surveys and report findings
- Assist in reporting complaints and grievances
- Assist with completing non-essential forms and reports
- Assist with supply inventory
