Job Requirements
- High school or GED required
- prior customer service or administrative experience preferred
- excellent business grammar and communication skills
- passion to work with elders
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel and Outlook
- high level of accuracy in data entry
- ability to move packages and supplies weighing up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
- able to communicate effectively in English
- strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain good working relationships with team members, residents, family members, visitors, and government agencies

Job Duties
- Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, welcome and positive emphasis
- answers multi-line telephone
- determines nature of call and directs caller to appropriate individual or department
- receives inquiries from staff, residents and guests and releases information in accordance with established policies and procedures
- manages projects/assignments independently using more complex data systems
- helps with all administrative tasks such as filing, copying, mailings, composing and typing confidential/medical material, formatting/revising documents
- takes initiative to think of new ideas and processes to help residents and staff
- assists residents as requested/needed
- handles maintenance requests and calls nurse as needed
- ensures guests/visitors abide by rules and reports suspicious information to Security
- manages guest room inquiries and assists with check-in/check-out
- assists with assigning storage, garage and carport spaces
- performs administrative duties for resident committees
- assists in emergency situations as assigned
- receives, sorts and distributes mail and deliveries
- maintains cash box and sells stamps, copies and meal tickets
- operates and maintains office equipment
- maintains reports and lists such as Resident Absent Report and Door Check Report
