  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years experience operating multiline telephone system preferred
  • Knowledge of computer office software
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English language

Job Duties

  • Greet and provide direction to visitors, patients, residents, and staff members in a courteous manner
  • Operate multi-line telephone system and properly forward calls to appropriate extensions or departments
  • Receive and place local emergency calls for police, ambulance, and fire department as requested
  • Provide information assistance with telephone extensions, numbers, names, dialing procedures, and inquiries
  • Act as collection center for outgoing mail and pick-up/drop-off point for entire facility
  • Receive daily mail and deliveries
  • Respond to alarm systems when activated and make appropriate announcements via the paging system
  • Comply with federal HIPAA regulations and practice policies for the privacy and security of patient and/or resident information
  • Assist with administrative tasks as requested
