Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of receptionist experience in healthcare preferred
- General computer proficiency including data entry and word processing
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and quality standards
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team
- Commitment to hospital mission and values
Job Qualifications
- One year of reception experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrates computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and record management
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain quality and safety standards
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work closely and professionally with others
Job Duties
- Provide hospital telecommunication services through telephones, pagers, paging system, radio, or computer to connect communication between visitors, callers, staff, patients, and families
- Maintain records related to telecommunications including long-distance phone calls, on-call employees, and pages
- Facilitate efficient communication flow within the hospital environment
- Uphold the hospital's mission and guiding principles in daily work practice
- Manage data entry, word processing, email, and record management tasks
- Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
- Work professionally and collaboratively with healthcare staff and patients
