Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to operate telephone and paging systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Basic clerical skills including typing, filing and scheduling
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Willingness to work in a healthcare environment

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to operate and use all equipment and supplies safely and efficiently
  • Good judgment in performing assigned duties and reporting any conditions affecting workload to supervisor
  • Computer skills preferred
  • Excellent communication skills preferred
  • Experience with telephone and paging systems preferred
  • Typing speed of 60 wpm preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet and direct visitors and callers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Assist and direct visitors according to facility policies while maintaining confidentiality of residents
  • Operate telephone and paging systems to receive, screen and direct calls for staff and residents
  • Maintain office and gift shop supplies and equipment, track inventory and order supplies
  • Prepare and maintain monthly declining balance
  • Perform secretarial and clerical duties including letter writing, scheduling, typing, filing, creating flyers, completing reports, postings and operating word processing, copier and mail equipment
  • Complete monthly mailing, PNA disbursements and meal tickets
  • Maintain admission book, prepare wrist bands, door tags, and update census daily for all new admissions
