Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of office experience
  • Medical office experience preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish required
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods
  • Manual dexterity to operate office equipment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
  • Flexibility to travel between multiple locations

Job Duties

  • Provide superior patient care services, treating all patients and guests with compassion and respect
  • Greet all patients and guests with a smile and helpful manner
  • Communicate effectively with patients, guests, colleagues, and physicians
  • Provide patients with necessary instructions or directions
  • Process patient documentation and update patient demographics accurately
  • Triage incoming calls promptly and in a pleasant manner, review phone messages and return calls or direct messages appropriately
  • Verify insurance and determine if prior authorizations or referrals are required for appointments
  • Close out daily batches promptly and accurately
  • Maintain a clean and organized waiting room and work area
  • Travel to surrounding HEA offices to provide front desk coverage when needed
  • Adhere to HEA policies, uphold ethical principles and patient confidentiality
  • Comply with all State and Federal regulations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs
