Miami Jewish Health is one of the largest and most respected providers of healthcare and living options for aging adults in the Southeastern United States. The organization operates Florida PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) Centers, which represent the largest PACE program in Florida. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • six months of related experience preferably in a healthcare setting
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • ability to handle busy switchboard
  • customer service skills
  • bilingual in English and Spanish
  • knowledge of medical terminology
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • caring attitude and ability to work with geriatric patients

Job Duties

  • Handle all telephone calls and transfer calls to appropriate parties
  • greet and direct visitors
  • transfer calls to voicemail or take messages and deliver them in a timely manner
  • distribute incoming mail, copy and fax documents promptly
  • refer emergency situations with clients, caregivers, or providers to appropriate parties
  • maintain unit-specific documentation as per guidelines and regulatory standards
  • provide assistance and clerical support to staff as needed
  • attend department meetings and in-services
