Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • one to two years of experience in an ambulatory care or medical office setting preferred
  • ability to handle clerical and administrative duties
  • good communication and organizational skills
  • proficiency in computer operations and telephone etiquette
  • willingness to work day shifts

Job Qualifications

  • high school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • previous training in general medical office skills and procedures preferred
  • proficiency and knowledge of medical terminology preferred but not required
  • experience in ambulatory care setting preferred
  • experience with cashier, basic account posting, billing, filing, reception, telephone, or computer operations

Job Duties

  • perform clerical, reception, scheduling, and patient financial account functions in the ambulatory care setting
  • assist in coordinating primary health care services to a large outpatient client population
  • manage appointment scheduling and patient communications
  • process billing and account postings accurately
  • maintain medical records and office filing systems
  • answer telephone inquiries and provide customer service
  • support team operations with general administrative tasks
