Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One or more years of experience in reception, public service, social service, or healthcare setting
- Proven proficiency in English and Spanish both written and spoken
- Previous computer experience desirable
- Ability to make independent decisions based on Center protocols
- High level of accuracy with numbers and data
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Ability to lift or carry up to 30 pounds
- Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards

Job Duties
- Prepare Center at start of day to receive patients
- Perform established patient check in processes including consents and insurance verification
- Update contact and demographic information for all registered patients
- Procure documentation of patient financial status and refer eligible patients to Medicaid Eligibility worker
- Check in and complete internal referrals for Behavioral Health, Mental Health, and Dietician
- Assist other patients as appropriate
- Set up charts for providers and create charts for new patients
- Coordinate patient flow with nursing staff, lab, and pharmacy
- Adhere to clinic policies regarding patient care and insurances
- Support Call Center and route calls to appropriate staff
- Provide back up to Call Center when needed including scheduling appointments
- Process mail, office deliveries, and incoming faxes
- Perform reminder calls and schedule intake appointments
- Provide patient information related to charges, discounts, payments, and billing
- Reconcile encounter payments and prepare money for deposit
- Review pended work queues and assist patients with collection issues
- Assist in training new Front Office staff
- Maintain waiting room and children's play area
- Prepare Center at end of day and lock Front Office area
- Attend Front Office team meetings and contribute to agenda
- Attend refresher trainings and coaching sessions
- Escalate issues and recommend workflow improvements
- Handle protected health information in compliance with HIPAA
- Perform other duties as assigned
