Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • minimum 2 years of related experience
  • specialized schooling and/or on-the-job training in clerical or administrative tasks
  • valid driver’s license
  • bilingual in English and Spanish
  • basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to handle challenging situations diplomatically
  • ability to translate accurately between English and Spanish

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED
  • specialized schooling and/or on-the-job education in a specific skill area such as data processing, clerical/administrative duties, or equipment operation
  • minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training
  • valid driver’s license
  • bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish for verbal and written communication
  • basic skills in database management, presentation software (PowerPoint), spreadsheets, word processing, and typing
  • ability to communicate clearly and distinctly in both English and Spanish
  • demonstrated excellent telephone etiquette
  • ability to manage difficult visitor situations professionally

Job Duties

  • answer phones in a timely manner
  • route calls to appropriate personnel
  • screen calls for superintendent, directors, and teachers
  • communicate with visitors/guests with diplomacy and tact
  • greet visitors/guests, ascertain business, direct to proper location/personnel
  • prepare documents using Word and Excel
  • maintain employee in/out log and visitor sign-in log
  • issue visitor badges
  • sign for deliveries and inform recipients
  • coordinate scheduling for back-up relief
  • translate school and outreach information from English to Spanish
  • support students, teachers, life coaches, and other staff with translation needs
  • perform any other related duties as required or assigned
