Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification, or to be obtained within three months of hire
- Completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to the population served within three months of hire
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, internet navigation, database management, spreadsheets, and graphic presentation software
- Ability to read and interpret business documents and professional materials
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to present information and respond to inquiries
- Basic arithmetic skills to perform calculations related to payments and scheduling
- Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions from various formats
Job Duties
- Perform patient check-in and complete necessary paperwork to ensure an efficient and compliant admitting process
- Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately
- Schedule appointments following office guidelines
- Obtain accurate patient and insurance information and collect co-pays and deductible amounts
- Copy and scan patient documents into the appropriate location in the electronic medical record
- Prepare patient charts for appointments, ensuring all information is complete
- Manage patient check-out duties, including pricing services, collecting payments, and scheduling follow-up appointments
