Job Duties
- Act as the first point of contact for students, staff, and clients entering the building, providing a welcoming and warm environment
- Greet, check in, and check out clients for salon and retail services in a friendly and professional manner
- Take payments from clients for services provided and issue receipts, following established payment policies and procedures
- Schedule client services, assist with changes and cancellations, and confirm appointments with clients
- Serve as customer service liaison to salon clients, answering questions about service offerings, prices, and availability
- Address any concerns or complaints in a calm and professional manner, escalating issues as needed
- Assist in training students as receptionists for the industry by providing instruction in scheduling clients and telephone etiquette
- Support faculty by providing students with accurate and necessary information to complete tasks
- Provide general office support, assisting with clerical duties, data entry, and related tasks
- Answer incoming calls and take messages, directing callers to the appropriate parties as necessary
- Respond to email inquiries
- Accept deliveries and maintain a neat and orderly reception desk
- Assist classroom instructor with dispensing salon products
- Monitor supply inventory and notify appropriate personnel when ordering is needed
- Substitute at the Regnier Testing Center when additional coverage is needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
