Job Description

MEDcare Urgent Care is a respected healthcare provider based in South Carolina that has been delivering top-ranked patient care since 2007. As a part of the Urgent Care Group (UCG) network, MEDcare operates 13 urgent care centers equipped with advanced medical technologies such as onsite digital X-ray, EKG, and common laboratory assays. This allows the clinical teams to provide a comprehensive and high level of care to patients in a fast, friendly, and affordable manner. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Availability to work 12-hour shifts from 8AM to 8PM with no overnight shifts
  • Willingness to work weekends
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in a healthcare facility such as medical office, urgent care, ER or with insurance providers preferred

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in a healthcare facility such as medical office, urgent care, or ER preferred
  • Knowledge of insurance verification processes preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to kindness, impact, teamwork, efficiency, and integrity

Job Duties

  • Compassionately greeting and assisting patients
  • Accurately inputting patient information
  • Verifying insurance and collecting copays
  • Answering incoming calls with care
  • Managing patient check-in and check-out processes
  • Coordinating appointment scheduling
  • Maintaining confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations
