Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education or experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with team members, supervisors, patients and other personnel
  • Proven time management and organizational skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, EPIC and related information systems
  • Ability to interpret various forms of data and instructions
  • Capability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines within standardized policies and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Understanding of patient privacy regulations and ability to ensure confidentiality of Protected Health Information (PHI)

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent education or experience
  • Written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, patients, and other personnel
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies and procedures
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook), EPIC, and related information systems
  • Ability to interpret data and instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, handling multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions
  • Ability to identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with peers and staff

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome patients, visitors, employees and staff in a courteous and professional manner
  • Determine the nature and purpose of the visit and direct or escort visitors to specific destinations
  • Use judgment and initiative to complete routine tasks and prioritize information and requests on behalf of visitors
  • Maintain general knowledge of the medical center or affiliate facilities to assist visitors effectively
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety
  • Ensure the privacy of each patient's Protected Health Information (PHI)
  • Build collaborative relationships with peers and other staff members to achieve departmental and corporate objectives
