Job Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred

- familiarity with HIPAA laws and maintaining confidentiality

Job Duties
- Greet all patients and visitors to the cancer institute
- alert appropriate personnel to any visitors or patients in the lobby
- ensure paperwork and orders are complete and accurate prior to giving to modalities
- sign off on laboratory specimen collection records including recognizing inhouse and reference labs
- operate office equipment such as computer, mail, or facsimile machine
- provide relevant company information to patients regarding location of departments, offices, or services
- answer telephones and provide answers to non-clinical questions while directing clinical questions to appropriate staff
- interface with institute personnel, physicians' offices, and hospitals
- maintain clean and orderly lobby throughout the day
- maintain patient account information by confirming insurance coverage and collecting copays
- ensure regular and punctual attendance
- perform other duties as assigned
