Job Requirements

Must be 16 years of age or older
Six months of cashiering experience
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
Ability to operate a point of sale system
Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly manner
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Ability to complete assignments timely
Must maintain prompt and regular attendance
Must pass City of Boise background and reference checks
Willingness to perform custodial duties
Ability to comply with all rules and policies
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during summer season
Willingness to obtain CPR/AED certification within 30 days

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Six months of cashiering experience
Ability to interact with the public, coworkers and supervisors in a friendly and tactful manner
Proficient in basic mathematical calculations
Ability to operate a point of sale system and calculate change quickly and accurately
Effective communication skills in English
Ability to complete assignments timely
Knowledge of customer service techniques and cash handling procedures
Demonstrated cooperation and harmonious teamwork
Willingness to obtain American Red Cross CPR/AED certification within 30 days of hire

Job Duties

Staff front counter at pools and greet customers
Answer phones and provide information to the public
Collect pool fees and process activity registrations quickly and accurately using City Recreation Software
Issue swim passes and process pool entry fees
Perform custodial duties as assigned
Follow city policies and procedures during operations
Perform other duties as assigned
