Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively both in person and on the phone
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Patience and good interpersonal skills
- Compliance with residents' rights and facility policies and procedures

- Organized and detailed in work performance
- Good communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience
- Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people
- Knowledge of customer service principles
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
- Proficiency with telephone and paging systems
- Basic clerical skills including filing and data entry
Job Duties
- Manages the telephone and switchboard
- Operate paging/telephone system as required
- Answers calls timely and courteously
- Directs calls promptly and accurately
- Assists visitors upon arrival to the facility
- Greets visitors upon entry to the building courteously
- Assists visitors by giving directions or contacting the person they have come to visit
- Ensures all visitors/vendors sign in
- Demonstrates customer service skills in every interaction via phone or in person
- Maintains a neat and orderly work area
- Performs other clerical duties as assigned
- Assists with special tasks or projects
- Handles mail and filing duties
- Prepares informational packets and brochures
- Assists with administrative duties including filing, posting accounts, data entry
- Orders supplies
- Attends in-service education programs
- Maintains confidentiality of resident and facility records
- Follows standard precautions and safety procedures
