Job Requirements

  • 1-2 years of related experience and/or training preferred
  • Ability to perform various and multiple tasks effectively
  • Strong telephone skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Experience with recordkeeping
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work with diverse populations
  • Bilingual a plus

Job Duties

  • Greet and direct all customers seeking services and/or information from New Opportunities
  • Welcome, inform, and direct all visitors, calls, and customers courteously and efficiently
  • Ensure that all visitors including community leaders and officials feel welcomed and well received
  • Direct visitors to sign in and call the person with whom they are meeting or an assigned contact if unavailable
  • Contact appropriate departments to manage unplanned visitor appointments or follow-up communications
  • Maintain an organized and professional reception area to assist visitors in a timely and businesslike manner
  • Maintain visitor logs and provide summary information as requested
  • Direct visitors to elevators and bathroom facilities as needed
