  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • considerable knowledge of general office procedures and processes
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • familiarity with Google Apps
  • excellent customer service skills
  • effective time management skills
  • ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing
  • ability to work in a team environment
  • ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school staff, students, parents, external agencies, vendors, and community
  • no certification or license required

  • experience in clerical related field preferred
  • knowledge of general office procedures and processes

Job Duties

  • Performs general office duties to support school or office activities
  • receives telephone calls and greets visitors
  • processes incoming and outgoing mail
  • assists other staff members
  • responds to requests for information
  • maintains and updates records
  • prepares documents
  • administers medication to students following policies and procedures
  • maintains an organized health room including ordering health supplies
  • provides first aid treatment to students as needed
  • notifies employees of visitors, mail, or materials
  • assists administrators and staff with typing and word processing tasks
  • maintains routine office files and student records
  • supervises and responds to student needs
  • contacts parents and guardians as necessary
  • performs other related duties as assigned
