Job Duties
- Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and staff in a warm and professional manner
- answer and direct incoming calls efficiently and courteously
- provide accurate information about the hospital and its services
- assist patients with registration and check-in procedures
- maintain a clean and organized reception area
- manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
- schedule appointments and maintain calendars
- perform other administrative duties as assigned
- coordinate with patients, families, referral sources, and the hospital's interdisciplinary team for patient intake
- conduct pre-screenings to assess patients' appropriateness for inpatient rehabilitation
- gather patient information and initiate the admission process
- verify patient insurance coverage and benefits for inpatient rehabilitation services
- obtain pre-authorizations and work with insurance companies to resolve coverage issues
