Job Requirements

  • must have at least one year of administrative assistant or receptionist experience
  • must have at least one year of customer service experience
  • must have at least one year of law enforcement experience
  • must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
  • knowledge of telephone procedures
  • proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Access, Word Perfect and Adobe Acrobat Professional

Job Qualifications

  • one year of administrative assistant or receptionist work preferred
  • one year of customer service work preferred
  • one year of law enforcement work preferred
  • ability to use MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Access, Word Perfect and Adobe Acrobat Professional
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to review a wide variety of legal correspondence
  • ability to meet established deadlines and work as a team player in a professional manner

Job Duties

  • provides a variety of direct support assistance services to serviced AUSA and support staff
  • answers incoming calls promptly and directs calls to the appropriate staff members
  • delivers messages in a timely manner
  • answers most routine questions and has knowledge of telephone procedures
  • informs staff of urgent calls upon receipt
  • receives visitors and notifies staff of their arrival
  • opens, sorts and distributes incoming mail
  • maintains postage machine, outgoing mail, and packages including courier services
  • receives incoming packages and deliveries and promptly notifies appropriate staff
  • performs other job-related duties as assigned
