Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to work a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • basic computer skills
  • strong communication abilities
  • good organizational skills
  • no supervisory responsibilities
  • must maintain reliability and punctuality
  • able to work independently and as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • excellent communication skills
  • basic computer proficiency including familiarity with office equipment
  • ability to manage multi-line phone systems
  • strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • attention to detail
  • ability to provide friendly and professional customer service
  • prior experience in administrative or receptionist roles is a plus
  • ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Job Duties

  • Greet visitors, firefighters, and other personnel in a friendly and professional manner
  • answer incoming phone calls, take messages, and direct calls to the appropriate personnel
  • maintain a clean and organized front office area
  • maintain regular and reliable attendance
  • coordinate meeting room usage for the Administrative Operations Center
  • maintain office supply inventory for Administrative Operations Center
  • order supplies and schedule repairs/maintenance for copy machines, as well as ensure equipment is stocked with paper daily
  • operate computers and standard office equipment such as copiers and multi-line phone systems
  • assist with data entry, filing and record-keeping tasks
  • prepare and distribute internal and external correspondence, including emails and letters
  • provide general information to the public regarding fire department services, procedures, and community programs
  • ensure visitors are directed to the appropriate department or personnel
  • distribute mail
  • collaborate with department staff to ensure seamless operations
  • communicate effectively with colleagues to assist in the resolution of inquiries and issues
