Job Requirements

  • Must be 16 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to perform administrative tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Good telephone communication skills
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records
  • Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality

  • Basic computer skills including electronic medical record systems
  • Customer service experience

Job Duties

  • Perform patient check-in at the time of visit and complete all necessary paperwork according to clinic and regulatory policies
  • Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately
  • Schedule appointments according to office guideline
  • Obtain accurate patient and insurance information, collect copays and deductible amounts at time of service
  • Copy and scan patient access related documents into electronic medical records
  • Prepare charts for patient appointments ensuring all necessary information is complete
  • Conduct patient check-out functions including pricing, collecting payments, and scheduling follow-ups
