Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or ged
  • minimum three years of relevant experience
  • proficient in english and spanish (reading, speaking and writing)
  • must be a practicing roman catholic in good standing
  • valid texas driver's license
  • must maintain compliance with the diocese of austin ethics and integrity in ministry (eim) policies throughout the employment period

Job Duties

  • support and uphold the philosophy of catholic ministry and the mission of st. albert the great catholic church
  • act as a witness to gospel values by modeling the teachings of the catholic church
  • continuously grow in your ministry by participating in religious ceremonies, training sessions, and reflection activities as directed
  • serve as the first point of contact for parishioners
  • answering phone
  • assist with baptism class sign-ups and booking baptism dates
  • schedules mass intentions and maintains mass intention list
  • schedules sanctuary candle intentions and maintains sanctuary candle list
  • makes and laminates signs as needed
  • enters membership form in ministry platform and cathedral envelope system
  • assists with clerical endowment cards
  • mails welcome cards and assists with addressing/labeling as needed
  • makes sacrament certificates of all types as needed
  • makes copies as needed
  • refill paper in copier
  • helps keep work room clean and stocked including refilling paper
  • helps keep lobby tidy
  • maintains inventory of office supplies and informs business manager when supplies need to be ordered
  • assists in preparation of mass notebooks for the weekend including prayers of the faithful
  • other duties as assigned
