Job Requirements

  • A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a state's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization
  • One year of satisfactory clerical experience
  • Ability to type at least 100 key strokes per minute
  • Must be a permanent or reachable candidate on a viable civil service list in the Clerical Associate title or eligible through the 55-a program
  • Ability to report on-site regularly with no telework option
  • Willingness to comply with residency requirements within 90 days of appointment

Job Qualifications

  • A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a state's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization
  • One year of satisfactory clerical experience
  • Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in basic computer skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Maintains professional appearance and demonstrates appropriate social skills

Job Duties

  • Greeting all visitors with courtesy, professionalism and a welcoming demeanor
  • Verify identification of all visitors and issue temporary visitor ID's using a computerized camera system
  • Manage and maintain the front desk area ensuring that all visitors are promptly and properly assisted
  • Maintain an accurate and up to date visitor log
  • Answer and route incoming calls to appropriate units or personnel
  • Monitor live security camera feeds
  • Ensure and observe that all staff and visitors display valid identification while on-site
  • Provide support during fire drills and emergency evacuation procedures as directed
  • Immediately report safety concerns or suspicious behavior to the Director of Security
  • Assist with special projects or additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Security or the Chief of Staff
