Job Duties
- Answer telephone consistent with mission values
- Greet visitors in a professional, kind, courteous manner
- Assist various departments with secretarial duties
- Perform routine secretarial tasks such as typing, computer input, filing, copying, faxing
- Work primarily afternoon and evening shifts
- Monitor visitor traffic for security purposes
- Assure doors are locked when required
- Transcribe routine information such as blood pressure, weights, heights
- Update CNA assignments and assure units have sufficient copies
- Prepare W10 forms and arrange for sitter and transportation as needed
- Cover other secretaries as needed
- Provide clothing labels if requested
- Sort and deliver mail daily
- File all medical record data in charts as needed
- Make calls for staffing needs as requested
- Report to work in designated uniform, neat appearance
- Complete other duties as assigned
- Alert departments to arrival of new or returning residents
- Label charts, doors, furniture, name bands, resident pictures
- Copy and deliver admission/re-admission packets
- Gather records from charts, drawers, medication rooms and organize them
- Remove labels from rooms
- Prepare nursing schedules and daily breakdown sheets
- Review and approve or deny PTO time
- Manage staff switches and overtime
- Call staff to fill open shifts
- Assist off-shift receptionist with staffing calls
- Work with Director of Nursing Services to manage schedules
